Thats right Ken Shamrock is fighting once again. Now normally I could care less, but this time I will be routing for the old Ken to show up and whoop some ass! For those of you that don;t know he will be taking on Kimbo Slice and I cannot stand him. And I feel that if Ken comes in smart and fights right he can end this whole Kimbo nonsense. If Ken can do this he will redeem himself from all of his latest flounders and once again become a hero to many. Come Ken the mma world is counting on you.

if Ken comes in smart and fights right he can end this whole Kimbo nonsense. This statement is the key. For whatever reason Ken seems to use no logic in his recent fights. I can't remember the last time he ever attempted/succeeded in taking somebody down. Ken's not known to be a standup fighter, so he should be taking people down constantly. He sure doesn't like grappling/wrestling for somebody that's considered a grappler. I used to pull for Ken, and would like to now, but I can't do that to myself this time. My prediction for this fight is that Ken tries to test his standup in the fight, and ends up KTFO after approx 2 minutes in rd 1 after failing a take down. Ken's only shot in this fight is to dance around for the first two rounds and do nothing but defend, and hopefully Kimbo gets tired in the third, then Ken can succeed with a takedown and finish with a sub. Ken's a legend, but the times and his age have passed him by.

I can't believe I am reading this. Brad turning his back on his idol. The time have been tough being a Shamrock fan as of late, but this is when he needs your support the most. It is as if Ken has fallen and extended his hand for you help up and you walk away. Without your support he truly has no chance. I hope you change your mind and tune into this fight screaming at the top of your lungs for Ken. I know I will.

Don't get me wrong, Im pulling for Ken, but when I saw his last fight and he got KO'd by some bum, it broke my spirit. I would like the Kimbo train to be derailed, but I just don't know if Im willing to be set up for a disappointment again. If you can get Ken to send me a written letter stating that he will not try to test his standup for more than 20 seconds, and then only try to set up takedowns, then I may have some more faith in him.
Tale of the tape
Kimbo: - standup fighter (medicore) - terrible cardio - likely bad ground game - unknown chin - probable size/strength/speed advantage - Relatively new to the sport
Ken: - bad standup (yet is still content to try) - below average chin (bad combo with first point) - never lasts long enough anymore to judge his cardio (hasn't gone into the 2nd rnd in his last 6 fights, 5 of which were losses) - 5 fight losing streak ( all by KO/TKO) - 1 Victory in the past 6 years - Decent submission game (although hasn't submitted anyone since 2001) - Veteran of the sport - Hungry for a win (go out with a bang)
This fight can go either way. But after making all those points about Ken, its not looking good for him. That being said, lets hope Ken can pull this one out.

Well, Ken unfortunately was injured last minute, so he could not put away Kimbo. However his replacement did admirably and felled the mighty Kimbo in 14 seconds of round 1. Looked like it was a jab that hurt him too. I think they need to give Bo Cantrell a rematch.

I just re-watched this fight and Kimbo pretty much just ran in leading with his chin and Seth pumped his jab a couple time and dropped him. So either Seth has a very powerful jab or Kimbo has no chin. Get this for the 14 sec it took Kimbo to get knocked out he made half a million dollars!! Now that is ridiculous.

What's next for Kimbo? Is he done? Can he come back and become a moderately successful fighter? Does he still fight Ken?

i think maybe they will bring a figher out of retirement to take him on. Or maybe a shitty welterweight since he got knockout by a light heavyweight in 14 sec. when he's a heavyweight. Ah hell i'll fight him. Me by arm triangle 2:34 1st round.

Ah hell i'll fight him. Me by arm triangle 2:34 1st round. That is some damn big talk. How do you see the fight going in the first couple minutes? You sure you can control him on the ground with such a weight difference?

My gameplan is to dance around avoiding his power tire him out for a minute or so then jump and pull guard from there I'll use the butterfly guard to sweep and mount him securing the arm triangle and getting the tap.

!!Update!! Just to point something out in the Kimbo Seth fight, when Seth dropped him with the jab he was standing on one leg! That makes this even moore funny. Seth drops Kimbo with a retreating jab while standing on one leg. I think he may have been trying to show off.
Also in related new Kimbo along with many others are unemployed Pro-Elite is out of business.
