Here's a photographic tour of my house. The outside: The house is a big sphere 51x51 blocks built into the top of a mountain in an extreme hills biome: Eventually, the whole sphere will be laid out in glass, but for now it is half framed in dirt. The upper half of the sphere is designed as a big biodome, eventually to be a big parklike area. Currently it has a small pond and a wooden bridge over the pond. Cobblestone stairs lead up to a indoor balcony which lead up again to the area I plan to be a master bedroom: The fireplace may look innocent enough at first, but careful examination reveal a secret switch which opens a secret passageway to my treasure vault (currently incomplete): Stairs also lead down to my current main living/storage area. It has a sort of medieval castle feel to it: My current master bedroom: And storage area: Heading back outside we quickly see my cattle farm: And my indoor wheat farm, located 1 level below the main living area. Turn out the redstone lights and the wheat auto-harvests! The fountain at the middle is hollow in the middle and you fall through it from the above mentioned secret passageway to the treasure room: So how does one get into the sphere from below one might ask? This is where my lower entrance hall comes in. Fully equipped with a functional piston powered elevator that zooms me up to sphere level in a mere 3 seconds. Also has access to my Nether portal and my mine: The design of the elevator can be found here: 1.6.4 Piston elevatorThats all for now folks. Next projects: -Complete laying out the sphere in glass. -Obsidian treasure fault on an island in a pool of lava filling the bottom of the sphere. -Master bedroom at the top of the sphere. -Railway station out on the spire of the mountain for easier access to the rest of the world.

Minecraft is a sandbox video game created and designed by Swedish game designer Markus "Notch" Persson, and later fully developed and published by Mojang. The creative and building aspects of Minecraft enable players to build constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D procedurally generated world. Other activities in the game include exploration, resource gathering, crafting, and combat. Multiple gameplay modes are available, including a survival mode where the player must acquire resources to build the world and maintain health, a creative mode where players have unlimited resources to build with and the ability to fly, an adventure mode where players can play custom maps created by other players, and a spectator mode where players can fly around and clip through blocks, but cannot place or destroy any. The PC version of the game is noted for its modding scene, where a dedicated community creates new gameplay mechanics, items, and assets for the game.
